Five Spots to Take Pictures in Laredo, Texas

If you are like me, that I started photography a year ago, you probably want to start your business but you don't know where to take your photos. You probably had thought of having a photo studio, but like most of us, you don't have the equipment or the place to have your own photo studio. In that case, here I leave you with five places, where you can take your photo-shoots, and if you are not from Laredo, don't worry! because you can get inspiration from places you can find in your own city.

1. Recreational Parks

I know what you are thinking, WHAT? recreational parks? That has to be a joke right? Nope.

I seen many different recreational parks, and some of them might not look beautiful to the eye, but in reality, our job as photographers is to make them look pretty. See, the nice thing about being a photographer is that you can find the nicest spots in the park and use it to your advantage, you would be surprised by all the nice spots you can find in your closest recreational park.

2. Independence Hills Park

The nice thing about this park is that it has a small pond to take beautiful photos for Summer and Spring. This is a great place to take your solo portraits or your family photos. Go take a look at this park and find nice spots to take your photography to the next level. (Photo by Gabe Rdz Images)

3. TAMIU (University)

Texas A&M International University (Aka TAMIU) is a place with many beautiful spots to take pictures. It has trees, has long walking roads, a fountain with water, and other spots where you can take out all your creative juices on your pictures. TAMIU is also a huge place, you might even get a little lost the first time you go there, but for sure, go a day before the photo-shoot and take all the time you need to be familiarized with the university. if you want to, you can even find a map of the university on their website at www.tamiu.edu

4. North Central Park

Many people in Laredo love this park, due that it has a long trail to walk, run, and spend some time with the family. This place is nice for pictures. The only downside is that it is very big! My recommendation is to take your time and know this place very well. Find good spots to take pictures by imagining that your model or your clients are already there. You will not be disappointed by this location.

5. Downtown

City's Downtown is one of the busiest places in Laredo, but it's also one of the places that have a LOT of beautiful spots to take your shots. The urban streets can give you a nice complement to your casual photo-shoots, or if you are looking for something fancier, there are nice buildings that can add a nice rustic or antique ambient to the background of your photos.
